Highclere Castle

We’ve made it through the slavery-themed version of Mansfield Park and the green plaid dress Seventies’ feminist version of Persuasion.  WRW now concludes our six-year study of Jane Austen’s books and the movies made from them.  Please read or reread Northanger Abbey and watch as many of the screen versions as you have time for.  Kathleen Gilles Seidel, one of our resident eggheads, will lead our discussion on January 11 at the Ballston Conference Center.

Kathleen Gilles SeidelKathleen Gilles Seidel is an award winning author. She has a Ph.D. in English literature from Johns Hopkins, and her novels have won every major romance-market award. She and her late husband have two daughters, both of whom have actual jobs with health insurance.
