Catherine Kent is a born romantic and unabashed lifetime fan of Hayley Mills’ Pollyanna. (Anyone who knows her will not be surprised by this admission!) Movies were her first love, but reading is her one true addiction. The world of books really took flight for her when, at the tender age of ten, her grandmother gave her a paper bag full of Harlequin romance novels and an instant fan was born! Catherine left behind her first career as a high-tech trainer and management consultant in the spring of 1998—a decision made in a heartbeat when her nanny fell unconscious while tending her two children! (Catherine salutes all working mothers, whom she knows have nerves of steel!) Now she hopes to become a published (and published, and published…) author. In pursuit of that dream, she has just completed her first full-length manuscript, a women’s fiction novel with strong romantic elements, titled After the Rain. She is thrilled to have found WRW and RWA, through which she can learn from the experience of so many fine writers. Catherine has won awards for her poetry, and hopes that bodes well for her new career. A firm believer in giving back, she considers it an honor to serve WRW as current Membership Chair. Catherine lives in Northern Virginia with her husband (Prince Valiant), their two children (a boy and a girl), and their yellow English Lab, named Taxicab.   #
image Mindy Klasky http://www.mindyklasky.com

Mindy Klasky learned to read when her parents shoved a book in her hands and told her that she could travel anywhere in the world through stories. She never forgot that advice. Mindy’s travels took her through multiple careers -- as a lawyer, a librarian, and as a full-time writer. Her travels have also taken her through various literary genres. In addition to her Special Editions, Mira, and Red Dress Ink books, Mindy has written six traditional fantasy novels (including the award-winning, best-selling The Glasswrights’ Apprentice), short stories, and nonfiction essays. In her spare time, Mindy quilts, cooks, and tries to tame the endless to-be-read shelf in her home library. Her husband and cats do their best to fill the left-over minutes.  #

image Joyce Lamb http://www.joycewrites.com

Joyce Lamb started writing as a teenager, plunking her dad's electric typewriter on her bedroom floor and pounding away at it in her jammies. She didn't know she was writing romantic suspense at the time, but she sure was having fun. She continued having writing fun through college and while embarking on her career as a journalist, when she finally got around to trying to get published. Her second novel, Caught in the Act, was a 2004 Rita finalist in the romantic suspense category. She's happy to have mixed some paranormal with romantic suspense in her True trilogy (Truelogy!) from Berkley Sensation. Joyce has lived in the Washington, D.C., metro area since 1998.  #
