Washington Romance Writers (WRW) is an affiliate chapter of Romance Writers of America (RWA), a national, non-profit corporation dedicated to promoting excellence in romantic fiction. Founded in 1982, WRW’s membership currently exceeds 240.  Our members are primarily located in the Washington, DC, metropolitan area.  Membership in WRW is available to anyone who is a member of RWA.

On Saturday, September 25, literary agent Nephele Tempest of The Knight Agency presents a day of workshops, from tackling a tricky synopsis to finding the agent that’s right for you. October 16 is Historical Day, at American Legion Post 24 adjacent to historic Gadsby’s Tavern in Old Town Alexandria. The day includes a fencing workshop, dance lessons, lessons in Colonial-era flirting, and a few ghost stories. Please see the meetings page for details.
